About me
My Philosophy
I I believe that every women deserves support, education, and encouragement in their prenatal and postpartum period. "An ounce of education is worth a mile of prevention" has never been more apparent than in the birth world. It is my desire to provide that education to the High Country and surrounding areas.
Boone Bellies, Boobies, & Babies strives to provide you with your ideal birth plans, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding assistance.
My Story
My name is Bunny Osborne. I have lived in the High Country since I was 4 years old, and while I have had the blessing of travels, I'm happy to call the Blue Ridge Mountains my home.
I knew from early childhood that I wanted to be a "baby nurse", even though I didn't know what that entailed at the time. I toyed with the idea of being a marine biologist for about 5 minutes, but never wavered in my goals. In 1997 I received my first certification on my checklist and was on my way. By 2000 I passed my LPN nursing boards and in 2001 I finally had my RN! Since that time I have had the pleasure of working at 2 different hospitals as a medical/surgical nurse (they said it would be good experience, I just wanted to get working with the mamas and babies!) and as a labor and delivery nurse. I also worked at an OB/GYN office for the life of the practice and that is where I fould my intense love for patient education and lactation. In 2009 I trained and received my license as an International Board Certified Lactation Counselor. A few years later in 2013 I trained and received my certification as a Lamaze educator.
I have a beautiful family with 3 kids that I had the pleasure of breastfeeding and now homeschool.
